Services

We serve Austin and surrounding area generally including Austin, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Bastrop, San Marcos, Round Rock, Georgetown, Lake Travis, and Spicewood.

Health assessments focus on assessing tree condition and vigor (life force.)

These are common questions:

  • Is my tree safe?
  • Is my tree sick or dying?
  • I’m worried about the safety of my tree. What are my options to reduce risk?

Are you a new or relatively new homeowner? Would you like to identify tree species on your property? Would you like to know how to manage tree health?

What are the plans for your new property and how can you best manage and preserve your trees.

Scott can help you choose the right trees to plant. He can help you avoid common mistakes in planting new trees, and improve your chances of successfully establishing beautiful new trees.

Are the trees on the property assets or liabilities? What is the general condition of the trees and what are pending tree maintenance needs? Scott works with many realtors and their clients throughout Central Texas.

As our population and it’s human footprint expands into the wildland urban interface, our overall risk from wildfires grows. How vulnerable is your structure to damage from wildfires?

What can you do to improve the safety of your structure in the event of a wildfire in your area? Scott can help you understand wildfire basics and how to reduce the risk of wildfires on your property.

Is oak wilt currently on the property or are your oak trees at risk from oak wilt on neighboring properties? What are the treatment options available and recommended for your trees? What the implications of tree roots on structures? Are you concerned about tree health? Are you worried about insect pests or disease? Scott can help identify the problem and create a health care plan for your trees.

How do city tree protection ordinances affect the planned development/remodel?

How will trees protections affect planned development of your property or your landscape design ideas?

How best to preserve your trees during development or landscaping projects?

We’ve been partnering with property managers throughout Austin to add value to their services by offering tree consultations to address important questions:

  • Are there trees on the property that are dead, diseased, or hazardous?
  • Is oak wilt currently present on the property or is there an immediate risk from oak wilt on neighboring properties?
  • What about roots and related plumbing and foundation issues?
  • Is a tree protected by local ordinances?
  • Are people or property at risk from encroaching trees?
  • Will the tree(s) affect a planned renovation or a fix and flip?

About ABT

For over twenty years, Austin Beautiful Trees has been leaving beautiful trees and happy people safely in its path. One of my fundamental approaches has always been to make sure that my clients get the information that they need about their trees in order to make informed choices.

As a Registered Consulting arborist my opinions are not predicated on future work. You can rest assured that I’m providing you with an objective opinion about your tree’s condition and potential maintenance needs. My clients have peace of mind knowing that they have a neutral advocate to help with the management of their trees.

I love learning about all things trees. I regularly attend workshops and conferences including conferences hosted by the International Society of Arboriculture, the American Society of Consulting Arborists, and the ISATexas. I learn and study about trees, so I can help you understand the fundamental aspects of trees and tree care. Or as our Operations Manager McKenzie Nichols says, “Scott you study and read about trees, so our clients don’t have to do so.”

Please contact us with any questions about the tree consulting services we offer. We look forward to working with you and your trees.
